After travelling to Senegal and living with a community there, we saw how at a certain time of day, families would gather around a tree under its shade to share time together.
Reflecting later on this routine with the founders of Dora Daar, Pepi de Boissieu and Nat Sly, we worked to portray the pleasure of spending time around the Oracle rug and enjoying a day in great company. Lying down, daydreaming, reading, chatting, writing, eating, drinking, chatting, resting, thinking, hugging, drawing, sleeping and dreaming with bare feet on a rug that hugs a tree.
