Slowkind. Clara Quintana Studio, the beauty of simplicty.

In her gestures, her home, her workplace, her tools. Everything about her is equally authentic and present. The Japanese influence finds its way into Clara Quintana Studio, and as in the wabi-sabi philosophy, her spaces maintain the aesthetics of the minimalist approach but with the warmth provided by natural materials, and objects that tell stories. But Clara also evokes the purely Mediterranean strength and light. She has a particular gift for understanding people. The key, she says, is plenty of observation, research and experimentation, and always surrounding herself with the right people.

Clara Quintana Studio builds inspiring brands through three creative practices: art direction, branding and the creation of spaces. What do you offer a brand to realise its full potential?

We examine and bring order to the attributes, qualities, history and beauty of a brand to give it an unexpected but personal message, and we work on it, building a lasting and elegant image, outside of passing trends. Our clients want to build a universe of new images that convey honesty and credibility. With this in mind, we define simple but visually clear solutions that meet specific needs. We work from a perspective of simplicity and familiar language, based on research and experimentation. And we document the ideas so that they may grow.

All your projects are the result of collaborations between different people and brands. Lighting, furniture, fashion, gastronomy,… What is it that creates a connection between you and your clients and collaborators?

It is essential that we like the brands we partner with and trust in the people leading the projects to speak honestly about their work. Projects with which we feel identified, and that we believe in and ultimately enjoy. They must be long-lasting, and it is essential that both parties have the same way of understanding life and art in order to generate a discourse around them. The mix of people and disciplines gives the projects a unique strength and we see that reflected in whatever we create.
